Welcome to the WebBridge software page!

Please note:  WebBridge is no longer in active development but its still works well if you'd like to give it a try.

WebBridge is a software product that creates internet-ready HTML pages from the operating data of a photovoltaic  generating plant.  The source data is provided by separate logging software that gathers data from the plant's inverters.  The current version of WebBridge supports data from logging applications  that are available from the SMA America web site:

Although WebBridge is still in the modeling stage, it is very capable and quite flexible.  The modeling version requires Microsoft Excel 2000 or later to run.  Eventually the entire application will be coded in VB.NET.

Current release

WebBridge consists of an Excel workbook fortified by seven modules of VBA code.  The VBA modules are individually replaceable to support minor upgrades.

Downloads

WebBridge must be configured to match the PV installation, specifically with regard to the number and model of the inverters.  Several pre-configured distributions are available, and any of these can be revised to other configurations.

Evaluation configuration

You can operate WebBridge for evaluation without connecting to your PV equipment.  The evaluation distribution is configured to fetch the source data via HTTP from an active remote site.

ChartBuilder

Here's a tool you can use to build back issues of the Month, Year, and Lifetime bar charts. Its also handy to rebuild your existing charts once you have the proper scaling figured out, so all of your charts will have uniform scaling.
